Love Through Letters. A Moment from the Film The Lake House

Love sometimes comes not at all the way we expect. In this moment from the film “The Lake House,” two people are separated not by distance, but by time. She lives in the future, he lives in the past, and the only thing connecting them is a mysterious mailbox at the house by the lake. They begin writing letters to each other, not understanding how this is even possible. At first it is just a conversation between two strangers who are curious to get to know each other. But gradually ordinary letters turn into something much greater — real closeness, trust, and love appear between them. There is only one problem: there is a two-year difference in time between them, and meeting each other turns out to be not so simple.
